About The Position

The Loan Originator position at Credit Human Federal Credit Union involves originating home loans and managing relationships with members throughout the loan process. Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
• Minimum 2 years of mortgage origination experience including conventional loans.
• Requires eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry.
• Excellent sales, consulting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of credit and collateral underwriting guidelines and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• FHA and VA origination experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• NMLS registered.

Responsibilities

• Originate home loan products in accordance with FNMA, Mortgage Insurance, and internal credit union guidelines.
• Act as the primary relationship manager for members regarding mortgage lending.
• Ensure compliance with Credit Human, NCUA, CFPB, and Investor standards.
• Meet established production goals and quality standards for home loans.
• Support the planning and implementation of home loan training initiatives.
• Verify and test processes related to mortgage origination activities for accuracy and efficiency.
