About The Position

Under general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Loan Originator Assistant works alongside designated Loan Officers in a productive environment. This position involves supporting a team in the loan origination process as well as performing daily administrative tasks. Tasks are completed with a deadline and with proficiency.

Requirements

High School or GED required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and capability to utilize office equipment
Proficient organization skills ; ability to prioritize
Ability to learn quickly and effectively
Excellent listening skills
General knowledge of loan products and process
Rapid decision making abilities
Aptitude to work in a fast-paced, daily environment

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in the lending field preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner
Establish appointments with clients
Collect necessary documents and review to ensure accuracy and completeness
Make copies of important documents
Monitor file and communications to ensure client questions and concerns and timely addressed
Keep client informed about the status of the loan process
Properly prepare files for submission to processing
Demonstrate commitment to customer service and client retention at all times
Stay acquainted with assigned Loan Officer’s daily schedule
Systematically store and maintain client data and files
Work closely with processing team to obtain documentation required for loan approval, docs, and/or funding
As directed by the loan originator, obtain from third party vendors and review applicant’s credit history
Perform such other tasks as may be properly assigned or delegated to the Loan Originator Assistant, except Prohibited Conduct
