About The Position

The Loan Operations Partial Release Specialist III plays a crucial role in the Loan Operations Department by managing and evaluating partial release research. This includes handling easements, eminent domain, and legal description corrections, requiring a detailed understanding of real property boundaries. The specialist is responsible for document review, analysis, and ensuring compliance with legal standards while maintaining accurate records and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, associate degree, certification program in paralegal studies or equivalent job experience required.
• Minimum five (5) years of related experience required.
• Strong background and knowledge in mortgage lending and loan servicing preferred.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on identifying outliers, researching them, and obtaining resolution.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office with a strong level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Mortgage industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform partial releases and conduct discovery investigations.
• Correspond with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, or state representatives for process resolution.
• Engage the internal Legal team for guidance when applicable.
• Organize, review, analyze, cross-check, and validate information.
• Maintain all tasks for accuracy and ensure appropriate timelines are met.
• Build and maintain databases and files, and organize and track files.
• Prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Review and monitor new and updated laws, regulations, and investor guidelines.
• Check and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy.
• Maintain updated processes and job aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
