About The Position

The Loan Operations Manager is primarily responsible for effectively managing commercial servicing associates and functions. The manager will work closely with the Commercial Servicing and Booking manager to ensure execution of policies and procedures, timely posting of money items, workflow process improvements and enhancements. Position is also responsible for day-to-day support and training for team members, review of their daily work for quality control and training opportunities, signing of maintenance and invoices, as well as balancing workload. This position will assist in project management, performance report preparation and analysis, and preparation and review of various training materials, policies, and procedures. Additionally, this position will regularly interact with bank officers and is expected to communicate complex issues in a concise yet comprehensive manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field with at least one year of commercial loan servicing experience preferred
  • Relevant experience, such as but not limited to auditing, financial document preparation, bookkeeping and accounting, may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • Ability and desire to learn, grow and develop professionally
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required
  • Exceptional ability to make sound decisions and produce great work under general or limited supervision
  • Exceptional working knowledge of complex commercial style transactions
  • Exceptional working knowledge of participation/syndication loan servicing
  • Exceptional working knowledge of general commercial lending policies
  • Excellent PC skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and programs used to setup and track documentation or ongoing covenant ticklers
  • Strong ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances while maintaining high quality in fast paced atmosphere
  • Exceptional organization skills and very detailed oriented
  • Excellent teamwork skills are required
  • Strong and proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple direct reports and manage own assignments in a fast paced, high pressure environment with time constraint

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage employees and functions of the Commercial Loan Servicing Department
  • Monitors and ensures all ticklers are processed timely and accurately
  • Monitors and ensures missing maintenance items are collected and approved timely and accurately
  • Advises commercial lenders on various policies and legal matters relating to proper documentation
  • Manage the accuracy review of all loan documents from in-house preparation to attorney prepared commercial loans to the loan accounting system
  • Reviews and monitors loan control and fee GLs to ensure outages are reconciled expediently, and money items are posted within SLA
  • Prepares performance reports including but not limited to monthly compliance reporting and trended quality, monthly team volumes and performance, and timeliness and accuracy
  • Reviews and updates relevant procedures and training materials for the team as necessary
  • Reviews and approves lead bank notice creation and wires for MidFirst led participated and syndicated loans
  • Balance department workload
  • Assists with project management and implementation
