About The Position
The Loan Officer position reports to the Branch Manager or equivalent and is classified as non-exempt. The role involves providing information on credit union products and services in accordance with all credit union policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State regulations. The Loan Officer is responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for routine loans, processing loan applications, gathering background information, and analyzing loan applicants' credit history. They will approve or deny loan applications based on their analysis and operate with moderate credit authority. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a basic understanding of navigating multiple computer programs and the internet are essential. The Loan Officer must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of service.
