About The Position

The Junior Loan Officer at Embrace Home Loans is responsible for supporting the loan origination team by soliciting and originating loans, developing client relationships, and maintaining a strong referral base. This role involves working closely with a Branch Manager or Retail Loan Officer to enhance production levels and meet the needs of clients, including realtors, builders, and home buyers. The position requires a proactive approach to marketing and client engagement, as well as a commitment to ongoing training and compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; college degree in Business or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of loan originator experience, loan officer assistant experience, or strong sales experience.
  • Minimum 1+ year of marketing experience in a sales environment.
  • Experience supporting a manager on a day-to-day basis or as an executive assistant.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Basic math skills at least at a middle school grade level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to forge professional relationships.
  • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for the position.
  • Knowledgeable about loan products such as FHA/VA, FHLMC, FNMA, JUMBO, and other loan programs.
  • Strong skillset in social media marketing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Empower Loan Management Software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, DocuSign, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain client referral relationships with realtors, builders, developers, CPAs, and financial planners.
  • Manage marketing on social media for assigned Loan Officer or Branch Manager.
  • Receive incoming business from assigned Loan Officer or Branch Manager and address appropriately.
  • Stay informed of trends, changes, and developments in the local real estate market and competitor activity.
  • Keep up-to-date with changing rules, regulations, and guidelines from FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA.
  • Maintain knowledge of origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting, and closing requirements for mortgages.
  • Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with mortgages.
  • Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies.
  • Coordinate customer interaction and interface with all parties involved in the loan process from application to closing.
  • Counsel and pre-qualify potential homebuyers.
  • Take complete and accurate loan applications and obtain necessary support documents.
  • Monitor loan status and ensure conformity with terms throughout the loan process.
  • Assist in collecting additional documents and communicate loan status to all interested parties.
  • Obtain loan documentation after closing as directed by management.
  • Follow through on all professional conditions and continued education requirements for licensure.
  • Participate in branch/headquarter meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or assigned Retail Loan Officer.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $21.63 an hour + commission/overrides.
