About The Position
Central Kentucky Ag Credit is seeking a Loan Officer for its Danville Branch. This full-time, non-exempt position involves a wide range of loan processing, client support, and administrative activities to assist in evaluating and preparing loan applications. The role is eligible for overtime pay based on business needs and availability. Daily participation at on-location sites is an important part of the company culture. As a Loan Officer, the individual will play an essential role in supporting branch operations and helping members succeed by providing exceptional service, accurate loan processing, and dependable support, representing Ag Credit’s trusted local presence.
Requirements
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics or Finance.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with financial databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to employ diplomacy and tact with customers and prospects while articulating the benefits of Farm Credit.
- Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serve the best interest of the Association and the borrower
- Current awareness of economic conditions and production technology affecting agriculture in the region.
Responsibilities
- Uses sound judgement to make loans within delegated lending authority, timely, and in compliance with all lending regulations.
- Meets individual volume goals while maintaining the expected credit quality.
- Completes loan requests timely and maintains appropriate credit administration scores and credit quality percentages.
- Contributes to branch volume goals and the development and promotion of the Association’s image.
- Contributes to branch marketing plans and branch net earnings goals.
- Maintains prospect list and completes routine prospect visitation.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all loan packages.
- Completes all loan servicing requests while ensuring accuracy of all data.
- Applies Association procedures and practices for all loan actions.
- Monitors all loan progress, classification, and quality.
- Applies appropriate servicing fees, appraisal fees, and late charges.
- Promotes borrower attendance at the Annual Stockholders meeting.
