About The Position

We are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates to fill a Loan Officer II position based in Bridgeport, West Virginia. From day one, you’ll become part of a dynamic, collaborative, and customer-focused team committed to supporting agriculture and rural communities. In this role, you’ll combine outside sales expertise, credit knowledge, and strong community involvement to deliver trusted financial solutions to our customer-owners. You’ll grow and manage a lending portfolio, serve as a consultative advisor, and play an active role in advancing Farm Credit of the Virginias’ mission as a cooperative partner to rural America. Salary Range: $62,500 – $91,300 plus incentive opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Lending or related financial services work experience.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions that benefit both customers and the Association.
  • Commitment to active involvement in the local community.
  • Knowledge of the region’s economic and agricultural environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-performing, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn new technology.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to work in a mobile and/or virtual work environment with flexibility to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage a diverse loan portfolio by developing strong relationships with existing and prospective customer-owners.
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor by identifying customer needs and delivering appropriate lending solutions.
  • Utilize sound credit judgment and lending practices to support both customer success and Association objectives.
  • Actively engage in business development activities, including networking, community involvement, and outreach within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners to ensure a seamless and responsive customer experience.
  • Remain knowledgeable of agricultural, economic, and market conditions within the region.
  • Represent Farm Credit of the Virginias professionally at community events and industry functions.
