About The Position

The Loan Officer Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the loan origination process at Cornerstone Home Lending. This position is designed for individuals who excel in time management, organization, and communication, working within a fast-paced environment to ensure timely closings and exceptional service to clients and realtors. The role involves managing workflows, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring compliance with mortgage lending regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Mortgage Lending experience preferred
• Manufactured Home lending experience a plus
• Construction and One-time Close lending experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm welcome to Realtors and Clients
• Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely closings
• Maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date on changes to market conditions
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending
• Communicate with borrowers, processors, operations staff, title companies, Realtors, etc., to expedite the mortgage process
• Request and follow up on required documentation from clients
• Perform basic income calculations and asset evaluations
• Disclose and submit loans to the Operations Department
• Balance priorities with a high-level attention to detail
