Position Overview: The Loan Officer Assistant is responsible for providing operational support to the Loan Officer by managing application intake, reviewing documentation, tracking activity in the CRM, and maintaining clear client communication. This role ensures that loan files are accurate, organized, and moving efficiently through the loan process. The Loan Officer Assistant maintains pipeline organization, coordinates key process steps, and contributes to overall operational efficiency and business growth. This role is designed as a career‑track opportunity with the potential to grow into a licensed Loan Officer.

Requirements

  • Willingness to obtain NMLS licensing.

  • Skilled in taking initiative and maintaining accountability for assigned tasks and outcomes.

  • Skilled at acquiring new information and processes efficiently and applying them in daily workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mortgage lending, banking, real estate, or financial services, preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of mortgage documentation and loan structure, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Encompass and CRM systems, preferred.
  • Commitment to building expertise and professional growth in mortgage lending.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, production‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to new inquiries and assist clients with completing loan applications.
  • Collect and review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit).
  • Pre-review files for completeness and eligibility prior to Loan Officer structuring.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and workflow management in Encompass.
  • Manage CRM and track all incoming leads and follow-ups.
  • Provide consistent client communication throughout the loan process.
  • Coordinate with processors, realtors, and internal team members.
  • Support database and marketing follow-up systems.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standardized processes and workflows.
