We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the right hand to one or more high-producing Loan Officers, ensuring that every loan file is meticulously prepared and moves seamlessly toward a timely closing. You will balance technical mortgage tasks—like navigating AUS portals—with high-level administrative support and marketing coordination to help our team grow. Requirements

  • Experience: 1+ years of professional experience, specifically within the mortgage industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of conventional and government loan requirements (FHA/VA/USDA).
  • Compliance: Familiarity with state and federal real estate lending regulations.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with mortgage loan processing software (e.g., Encompass) and a high comfort level with digital workflows.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on providing a "white-glove" experience to borrowers.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Management: Support the end-to-end loan process by ensuring files are complete, documentation is accurate, and all loans stay on track to meet scheduled closing dates.
  • Customer & Partner Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for borrowers, real estate agents, and title companies, providing consistent updates on loan progress and answering general procedural questions.
  • Pre-Qualification Support: Utilize information gathered by the MLO to run preliminary eligibility checks through various Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS).
  • Document Coordination: Assist in preparing preliminary loan packages by identifying and collecting missing documentation directly from customers.
  • Vendor Management: Interface with appraisers to secure official appraisals and coordinate/schedule final loan closings.
  • Marketing & Database Growth: Maintain and update customer databases and assist in executing marketing campaigns across email, mail, and digital platforms.
  • Administrative Excellence: Manage the daily "heavy lifting" of the office, including managing correspondence, phone calls, and data entry to keep the Loan Officer focused on production.
