About The Position

The Loan Closing and Review Specialist performs all functions required to ensure loans are processed and closed accurately. This includes reviewing loan applications and requests for loan documents for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance, as well as assisting with coordinating loan closing and funding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to five years banking or other relative experience required (loan related experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of computer applications such as the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and banking software.
• Ability to use basic office machines.
• Ability to learn bank-specific software such as AccuSystems, IBS Insight, TruStage, nCino, etc.

Responsibilities

• Reviews entity docs to identify appropriate signers.
• Reviews loan applications for compliance with CIP/CDD, ECOA/Reg B, OFAC, and other state and federal regulations.
• Reviews information entered in nCino for accuracy and completeness.
• Works with loan officers and loan assistants to properly document entity information, collateral, etc entered into nCino.
• Engages internal legal counsel as necessary for various legal opinions.
• Coordinates with Loan Documentation Specialists, Loan Officers, Loan Assistants, vendors, attorneys, etc as necessary to obtain documentation to meet loan closing deadlines.
• Assists loan officers and loan assistants with coordinating loan closings to meet customer expectations.
• Reviews attorney prepared loan packages to ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions.
• Assists teammates and customers with questions, concerns, and issues while providing excellent communication and customer service.
• Assists in other Loan Operations areas as needed.
