Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for accurately completing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication skills are vital, enabling you to convey complex information clearly to clients and assist them in navigating the loan process.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 or more years of loan assistant experience.
  • Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the job as listed in the Full Job Description attachment.

Responsibilities

  • Process Loan Applications: Review incoming files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all required documentation meets bank and regulatory standards.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, providing status updates and resolving inquiries throughout the lending cycle.
  • Coordinate Closing Logistics: Liaise with title companies, attorneys, and insurance agents to schedule closings and ensure all conditions are met.
  • Prepare Loan Documentation: Generate and organize legal loan packages, including notes, mortgages, and disclosure statements.
  • Portfolio Maintenance: Manage post-closing tasks such as filing UCC statements, monitoring insurance expirations, and tracking financial reporting requirements.
  • Lien & Collateral Management: Perform lien searches and ensure the proper perfection of collateral to protect the institution's interests.
  • Data Integrity: Input and maintain loan data within the core banking system to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
  • Compliance Oversight: Identify and resolve documentation exceptions to maintain audit readiness and adherence to federal lending laws
