About The Position

The Loan Advisor at Discount Title Loan is responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing Auto Title loans. This role involves ensuring timely payments through reminder calls and organizing payments, while also representing the company in the local community and participating in marketing efforts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of financial service experience
• Strong audit and financial skills
• Proficiency in financial software

• Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the store daily as instructed by the Senior Loan Adviser.
• Evaluating loan applications and documentation to confirm credit worthiness.
• Negotiating terms and structuring loan financing based on risk considerations.
• Presenting credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority within the company.
• Rejecting loans by explaining deficiencies to applicants.
• Approving loans by issuing checks.
• Completing loan contracts by explaining provisions to applicants, obtaining signatures and notarization, and collecting fees.
• Helping customers by answering questions and responding to requests.
• Maintaining a client account portfolio.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
• Meeting performance goals on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Managing all aspects of collections, including calls, texts, and field visits.
