This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that daily tasks related to loan accounting and payment processing are completed in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Education Required - Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Experience Required - 1-2 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, Customer Service, or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of escrow accounts.
  • Data entry skills.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand basic investor guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Preferred - 3-5 years' experience in Accounting, Finance, Customer Service, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Process and post all daily payments.
  • Reconcile to cash account.
  • Initiate corporate advances.
  • Process NSF payments.
  • Produce and review daily reports.
  • Generate letters and/or documents for customers.
  • Monitor escrow accounts (e.g. manage disbursements of taxes/insurance/PMI, perform annual escrow account analysis, pay escrow account interest, monitor rates and perform necessary research).
  • Reports and remits payments to investors.
  • Answer customer service inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
