We are Lockheed Martin. Candidate will lead and supervise a small team of Structural Compatibility Discipline Engineers in the pursuit of F-35 Envelope Expansion and Flight Sciences Weapons Integration. Candidate will integrate and test various Air-to-Ground weapon systems onto aircraft platforms, including the development of system design, testing, and certification plans. Candidate will provide technical expertise in the development and testing of weapon systems, including the evaluation of design changes and the identification of potential safety risks. Candidate will develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and test reports. Candidate will be responsible for tracking instrumentation issues and anomalies, coordinating instrumentation repairs and conducting pre-flight load predictions. **Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

  • Lead and supervise a small team of Structural Compatibility Discipline Engineers.
  • Integrate and test various Air-to-Ground weapon systems onto aircraft platforms.
  • Develop system design, testing, and certification plans.
  • Provide technical expertise in the development and testing of weapon systems.
  • Evaluate design changes and identify potential safety risks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents, test plans, and test reports.

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or related STEM discipline.
  • Experience with statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, or aerodynamics.
  • Experience in weapons development, testing, and integration.
  • Experience supporting Flight Test.
  • Experience interfacing with DoD Customers and suppliers.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • Envelope expansion experience.
  • Experience with IADS real time and test data request post flight test tools.
  • Experience in static loads analysis, structural analysis, aero/performance, stability & control, mass properties.
  • Experience in post flight test data requests and analysis.
  • Conduct pre-flight load predictions.
  • Calculate various static loads.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Experience leading a team providing technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and driving collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience managing resources, prioritize tasks, and driving program execution working with weapon assets.
  • Understanding of FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Root Cause Corrective Action.
