About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving associate is responsible for tasks that are related to pulling, staging, and loading orders for customers as well as maintaining finished goods inventory and installation supplies. These tasks include, but are not limited to, lifting, and carrying product, repackaging product, operating, and maintaining a forklift, meeting strict deadlines, loading, and organizing trucks, processing, and distributing paperwork, yard/warehouse cleanliness & organization.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Prior Forklift Experience Required, 2+ years experience
  • Experience with forklift preventive maintenance
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing industry
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and up to 100lbs occasionally. Bags of Mortar weigh 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work in the outdoor yard during all-weather elements, year-round.
  • Ability to read orders and pick tickets.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to reach, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a forklift. (Training and certification provided)
  • Pull, stage and load orders for customers from the yard and warehouse.
  • Coordinate timely staging of all products to ensure delivery by job ready date.
  • Use computer to access orders and reports. Excel, Outlook, and ERP program.
  • Stack product and pallets according to standards.
  • Organize and prioritize daily activities.
  • Exhibits a professional manner and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
  • Maintain well organized finished goods inventory and installation supplies.
  • General clean up and preventative maintenance activities
  • Lifting and carrying product

  • Meeting strict deadlines
  • Commitment to an excellent customer experience.
  • Work safely every day. Attend regular safety trainings and meetings. Following all safety policies and procedures. Identify and prevent unsafe conditions.
  • Cross train and work in other areas as needed to support overall site team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
