About The Position

The position involves working in a manufacturing environment where safety rules and precautions are paramount. The role includes packaging, crating, and loading items to ensure their safe arrival. Employees will be responsible for using various crating and packaging materials, checking loads for completeness, expediting work to meet production schedules, and assisting with inventory counts. The job requires maintaining continuous improvement practices and may involve other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old to apply.
• Prior Forklift Experience Preferred.
• Experience with forklift preventive maintenance programs is a plus.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions during all weather elements year-round.
• Ability to read orders and pick tickets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to reach, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading.
• Use various crating and packaging materials to secure and protect parts for shipment.
• Check each load to ensure the job is complete.
• Expedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area.
• May be assigned other projects or duties as designated by the Team Leader.
