About The Position

The Residential Loading Dock Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the loading dock at the assigned property. This position ensures the efficient coordination of deliveries and pickups, enforces dock procedures, and maintains safety and organization in the loading dock area. The Loading Dock Coordinator plays a critical role in providing exceptional service to residents, vendors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a smooth and secure operation. Action is seeking a full time Loading Dock Coordinator to join our team at our luxury high rise association, Lumina, located in San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for loading dock operations.
  • Polished and professional appearance and demeanor
  • Upbeat and positive team player attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in managing loading docks, logistics, package room experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all loading dock operations, including deliveries, pickups, vendor access, and scheduling.
  • Maintain an organized dock schedule to prevent congestion and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for residents, vendors, and delivery personnel.
  • Assist with unloading large items and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate delivery guidelines and protocols clearly to residents and vendors.
  • Enforce all safety procedures and monitor dock access to ensure only authorized entry.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free dock environment.
  • Oversee and train additional dock or support staff when needed.
  • Keep accurate logs, reports, and records of deliveries, pickups and vendor activity.
  • Partner with maintenance staff to coordinate equipment repairs and ensure proper handling and storage of deliveries.
