About The Position

The Loader is responsible for handling inbound and outbound materials at the
facility. This includes picking, pulling, loading, and unloading shipments,
while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all material handling
operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from management and peers.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
• Competence with measuring devices such as gauges, tapes, and rulers.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills, including calculating square footage and batch sizes.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
• Sort shipments by destination and organize merchandise to fulfill orders.
• Load finished materials for transport and unload raw materials for processing or storage.
• Move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect forklift daily to identify maintenance needs and ensure safe operation.
• Verify piece counts on pallets and compare with shipping labels or work orders.
• Handle materials following all safety procedures.
• Follow shipping and receiving work orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
