UNLOADING The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, rolls are taken off the truck. Each roll is scanned as they are being unloaded from the truck and before they are placed in the warehouse. Ensure product is good quality and no damage as it is stored. Proper paper work must be maintained for all loading/unloading processes. Responsible for the unloading of Latex and Raw Glass trucks. Report any damage to the Shipping Manager immediately. LOADING The truck bumps the dock and after securing the trailer, verify with driver the order number and/or destination. Use computer to pull the order/pick plan. Get the Tare Weight from Shipping Manager Load the rolls on cradles and/or blocking as needed. Maximize the shipping weight without exceeding the DOT maximum. Pick plans/ roll numbers are transferred to Shipping Manager for completion of BOL. Truck loads of material will be deli Sometimes the trailer may be dropped for unloading. Each trailer will be weighed in before unloading and must be weighed in after unloading is complete All the weights have to be printed and recorded making sure the volumes will fit in the storage tanks. Hoses are connected between the trailer and appropriate pump, depending on where it is going. This may require using tools and/or fittings to properly connected Some products may require a sample be taken to QC for verification BEFORE proceeding with unload Once the trailer is emptied, all connections must be removed making sure there is no spillage. Clean the area thoroughly after unload is complete
