About The Position

Alter Trading Company is looking to add to its team in North Little Rock, AR. Alter Trading Corporation, a 125 year old, privately held company with 70+ scrap metal processing facilities operates scrap metal processing facilities in 9 states and trades recycled materials nationally and internationally. Equipment Operators (Front End Loader). This position must have previous equipment operating experience.

Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs, while climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Must be able to follow all company safety standards and wear necessary PPE including hard hat and steel toe safety boots.

Responsibilities

Inspects Equipment, making sure everything is in safe and working condition.
Inspects materials to ensure quality standards.
Knows/learns quality standards, material grades and what materials can/cannot be loaded.
Loads, unloads, and sorts material.
Utilizes all operating equipment including fork trucks, skid steers, and end loader, as necessary.
Performs cleanup throughout and the end of shift.
Preforms Basic Maintenance
Performs other Duties as assigned.
