About The Position

Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Loader
Operator to work in our Delta Yard at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The
Loader Operator will operate loader for the purpose of loading and unloading
trucks, load bins and hopper with raw materials and stockpiling materials.

Requirements

• Two years’ experience running a loader
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
• Work outside for an extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

• Performs daily machine inspection and routine 
• Monitors any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions
• Reports any equipment or plant malfunctions
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment
• Maintains level work area to allow easy movement and access
• Loads trucks with correct material while eliminating contamination
• Complies with weight limits when loading trucks
• Ensures that trucks are loaded with the appropriate products
• Maintains bucket levels when transporting material to keep machine balanced and to prevent spillage
• Maintain stockpiles of raw materials and finished product
• Meeting customer service expectations
• Complying with all safety regulations and policies
• Operates various mobile equipment as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
