Loader Operator Job

About The Position

Responsible for monitoring the filtering, loading, and movement of different latex products to assigned trailer/railcars to maintain plant production and customers on-time shipments. The Loader Operator will work alongside the shipping clerk to maneuver and load tank trucks and rail cars for the loading of latex to ship the finished product directly to various customers. The Loader Operator, after receiving the appropriate training, will safely unload raw material rail cars into their respective storage tanks, and complete the receiving in SAP for inventory tracking. This will periodically include raw material tank trucks as well as box trucks with totes that require maintaining a forklift certification. The employee will routinely use a computer to maintain training certifications, monitor emails, complete maintenance requests and complete other computer-based tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years warehousing or logistics experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy, including email and data entry is required. SAP is preferred.
  • High school diploma or graduate equivalency required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while acting as a strong team member.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Able to show ownership and deliver results.
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, work from ladders, scaffolding or powered lifts when required.
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights, use respirators, working outdoors in extreme temperatures when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment license or certification is preferred.
  • Basic experience pulling and backing trailers preferred.
  • Maintain training to ship hazardous and dangerous goods internationally and domestically maybe required as on the job training.
