The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This role also requires maintaining documentation of vehicle movement within the facility and performing daily pre and post-trip inspections, along with associated documentation, for their assigned machine. The Loader Operator is expected to maintain a safe work environment, adhere to company guidelines for safe loader operation, and, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy, facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs. Additional responsibilities include ensuring equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts, operating company equipment safely, assisting with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles, accurately and legibly recording vehicle information, operating digital cameras or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices, setting up the yard for auctions within company timelines, and providing service to customers as needed. The operator must maintain a positive and professional demeanor and follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment
One year of loader or forklift experience
Ability to pass training and safety requirements
Excellent customer service attitude and skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Positive attitude/High Integrity
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

HS diploma or GED preferred
Loader or forklift certification preferred
Bilingual skills a plus

Responsibilities

Moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift
Maintaining documentation of vehicle movement around the facility
