About The Position

S&W Ready Mix Concrete, a wholly owned subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking a Loader Operator for its Conway, SC location. Titan America is a leading environmentally and socially progressive heavy building materials company in the eastern United States, part of the TITAN Group which has expanded into 13 countries, employing over 5,500 people. The company's products include cement, aggregate, ready-mixed concrete, and fly ash beneficiation. The Loader Operator's primary function is to operate the front-end loader, loading material from stockpiles, and performing oiling, greasing, servicing, and normal operating adjustments to equipment. This role also involves assisting with plant/yard housekeeping, including shoveling, washing, and minor repairs. The operator may participate in all aspects of the daily plant operation, such as operations, maintenance, production, shipping, inventory control, and safety. The position is responsible for the safe and efficient production of ready-mix concrete.

Requirements

Good written and oral communication skills
Good computer skills
Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
Ability to supervise multiple employees
Basic understanding of concrete characteristics and production
Ability to travel within delivery area to other plant locations
Previous experience and knowledge of safe operation of heavy equipment
Knowledge of proper material handling practices
Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screen
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory experience
Previous experience in ready-mix industry
Valid CDL

Responsibilities

Load material from stockpiles and may oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
Maintain plant in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically to include loaders and mixers
Ensure that the yard is maintained including under the tail pulleys and wash racks, perform housekeeping duties when needed including shoveling, washing and minor repairs
Responsible for the safe, efficient production of ready-mix concrete using an automated computerized batching system
Maintain a consistent batching sequence and monitor scale and gate accuracy
Ensure that all products produced meet or exceed customers’ expectations regarding quality and service
Ensure deliveries are made promptly, safely and efficiently
Assist with monthly inventory
Assist maintenance team with plant repairs as needed
Participate in all aspects of the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to: operations, maintenance, production, shipping, inventory control, safety
