About The Position

Rogers Group is currently seeking an experienced LOADER OPERATOR for our asphalt operation located in HOPKINSVILLE, KY. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • General mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to maintain safe working conditions
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment, and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in mining environment or asphalt plant preferred
  • Basic welding skills preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Learning and understanding our safety culture and implementing all of Rogers Group’s safety principles without compromise
  • Manage plant operations
  • Plant maintenance and clean up
  • Operate loader to Load feed hopper to plant.
  • Operate loader when needed and feed crushing circuit.
  • Operate articulated haul truck to stockpile material.
  • May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assign and/or to assist with other areas as necessary
