About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for a Loader 2nd Shift in Salt Lake City, UT! In this role, you will load delivery trucks nightly, unload empty cylinders from the delivery truck, and prepare them for reloading. You will be filling high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature/pressure method. Additionally, you will operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders, perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released, and ensure cylinders are adequately maintained. You will also regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices, fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, and ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Other responsibilities include assisting with inventory, general housekeeping, and helping customers when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Some forklift experience is preferred.
• Valid employment authorization in the U.S. is required; must not require visa sponsorship.
• Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lifting 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifting 76 to greater than 100 lbs. with a lifting device.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather for extended periods.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written documentation and communication.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices.
• Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight.
• Maintain accurate cylinder filling records and comply with regulations.
• Assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and customer service.
