About The Position

The Load Securement Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of products from Nichiha's warehouse facility to their destinations. This position is responsible for operating a forklift to handle palletized products, securely strapping and securing pallets prior to shipment, conducting visual inspections to confirm no damage to products during wrapping, and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the warehouse area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated proficiency in operating a forklift safely and effectively.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a role involving load securement or shipping/receiving activities.
Knowledge of proper load securement techniques and familiarity with strapping materials and equipment.
Attention to detail and ability to perform visual inspections to identify potential product damage or quality issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Operating a forklift to safely move palletized products within the warehouse facility.
Ensuring the securement of pallets by accurately and securely strapping those using appropriate materials and techniques.
Conducting visual inspections of products prior to wrapping to confirm there is no damage or defects that could compromise the integrity of the shipment.
Collaborating with warehouse personnel to coordinate the efficient loading of pallets onto trucks or other transportation vehicles.
Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift and performing load securement tasks to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area by performing routine housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials.
Reporting any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor for prompt resolution.
Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to load securement, forklift operation, and warehouse operations.
Participating in training sessions and safety meetings to enhance knowledge of load securement best practices and safety procedures.
Assisting with other warehouse tasks and duties as needed to support overall operational efficiency and meet production goals.
