About The Position

The Load Planner at Quality Carriers is responsible for coordinating all functions of load planning and freight movement to maximize profitability and optimize terminal assets and resources. This role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, who will work closely with internal departments to align drivers with customer loads for safe and timely deliveries. The position also involves providing updates and key performance indicators (KPIs) on performance and business expectations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2-year business degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in the chemical bulk transportation industry, preferably in a dispatcher or transportation operations position.
• Current transportation market knowledge, including operating practices and management organization.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; TMW experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in industrial customer service.
• Geographical expertise related to mileage and DOT regulations.
