About The Position

Strategic Thinker Meets Operations Expert Hill Brothers Transportation is seeking a Load Planner who can see the big picture while managing the details. What You'll Do: Plan and coordinate freight movements across assigned geographic regions, making strategic decisions that maximize driver and equipment utilization while ensuring exceptional customer service. You'll work collaboratively with Customer Service Representatives and Driver Managers to forecast load needs, manage trailer pools, and optimize routing to minimize deadhead and maximize profitability. From load assignments and equipment coordination to performance monitoring and process improvement, you'll be at the center of our operational efficiency. This is planning with purpose—where your decisions directly impact driver satisfaction, customer service, and company success. Requirements What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field OR 5+ years of transportation/logistics planning experience Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMW preferred) and planning software Understanding of DOT regulations, hours of service, and transportation compliance Excellent knowledge of U.S. geography, shipping lanes, and regional freight markets Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to balance multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Why Hill Brothers Transportation? Requirements
