About The Position

Chief Carriers is seeking a Load Planner / Customer Service Rep to join the Chief team. This position will efficiently schedule driver routes daily ensuring on-time delivery of the product to the customer. Builds profitable routes while achieving maximum efficiency and cost savings to both the customer and Chief Carriers. Manages complex scheduling including rescheduling of trucks and drivers. Handles any and all customer service issues and promptly communicates the concerns to the appropriate person for follow-up.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or GED, required.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience and/or training in logistics, transportation and/or customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Able to multi-task and operate multiple computer systems concurrently.
• Aids in communication between all departments for logistics including but not limited to maintenance, safety, customer service, and management.
• Achieve all operating performance metrics and goals.
• On a daily basis, schedules the routes of drivers to ensure on-time delivery of the product to the customer.
• Continual communication with drivers to provide instructions and to help build team spirit by providing support where needed.
• Manages complex scheduling, including the rescheduling of trucks and drivers.
• Listens to customer comments, responds appropriately and forwards issues to the appropriate person.
• Complies with all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations and company safety practices and procedures.
