Load Planner- Bilingual (English/ Spanish)

The position involves load optimization daily on Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System, managing the overall planning and coordination of transportation services, and utilizing independent judgment to maximize efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities include planning for acceptance of loads, dispatching planned loads, and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load optimization daily on Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System.
• Manage the overall planning and coordination of transportation services.
• Utilize independent judgment and discretion to determine location of trucks and available customer loads.
• Plan for acceptance of loads and assign loads to trucks.
• Ensure customers' service requirements are met.
• Coordinate and work closely with designated department teams to manage customer trailer pools.
• Communicate late pickups and/or deliveries to appropriate department personnel.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations & Safety Compliance guidelines.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Perform additional managerial and business operations duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic skill: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred.
• Ability to communicate well and effectively with different departments.
• Ability to transfer knowledge and train others.
• Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations.
• Detail oriented and proficient in computer-based keyboard skills.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• No load planning & supply chain experience is acceptable; fresh graduates preferred.
