About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking a Bilingual Load Planner to join their team. Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Two or more years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time-sensitive situations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced desktop computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong customer focus and relationship management skills.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate various computer systems across different platforms.
• Flexibility to work First, Second, and Third Shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and optimize shipments into loads.
• Tender freight to third-party carriers.
• Update the Transportation Management System with current shipment information.
• Provide detailed instructions to customers and associates via phone and email.
• Track shipments and provide visibility to management and customers.
• Complete daily logs and trackers.
• Handle rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis.
• Identify cost savings opportunities for customers.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery and track trucks for pick-up.
• Investigate load exceptions and report findings.
• Weigh alternative financial decisions before taking action.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
