Load Planner - Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred

About the position

WOONGJIN, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for load optimization on our Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System. This role involves managing the overall planning and coordination of transportation services, utilizing independent judgment to maximize operational efficiency and productivity. The candidate will need to understand the intricacies of the operational market assigned and plan for the acceptance of loads, ensuring that customer service requirements are met. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with various department teams to manage customer trailer pools and coordinate network needs. The candidate will also be responsible for communicating any changes in load assignments and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load optimization daily on Transportation Management System and Warehouse Management System.
• Manage the overall planning and coordination of transportation services.
• Utilize independent judgment to determine the location of trucks and available customer loads.
• Tailor planning to meet area needs, including loads taken and routes utilized.
• Plan for acceptance of loads and assign them to trucks.
• Ensure customers' service requirements are met.
• Coordinate with designated department teams to manage customer trailer pools.
• Collaborate with other planning center teams to coordinate network needs and execute strategic plans.
• Communicate late pickups, deliveries, and any load changes to appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations & Safety Compliance guidelines.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
• Knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different departments.
• Ability to transfer knowledge and train others.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
• Detail-oriented with strong computer-based keyboard skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• No prior load planning or supply chain experience required; fresh graduates are preferred.
