About The Position

This position will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. This job description outlines the principal duties and in no way states or implies these are the only duties to be performed in this position.

Requirements

MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
High school diploma or equivalent and at least three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fork Lift Certification
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

Always follow and promote company safety rules and policies
Be able to coordinate with forklift operators, know forklift safety operations, and to perform preventative maintenance
Be responsible for cleanup of the yard and warehouse
Loads pallets onto truck and inspects strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Verifies materials loaded or unloaded against work order or bill of lading.
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
Know where additives, gaskets, fittings and other materials are store.
Organizes and randomly inspects inventory on yard.
Operates industrial truck or electric hoist safely and accurately to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Maintain their designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy.
