AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance. The Load Balancing Architect will be responsible for load balancer solutions on-prem and cloud network infrastructures globally. This will include architecture / design, implementing and maintaining a large and complex global environment. Lead architect responsible for designing, developing, and managing a large and complex deployment of server load balancing, geographic distribution networking infrastructure to meet the organizations business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale load balancing on-prem and cloud, project delivery with focus on performance optimization and scalability.
• Deep understanding of network architecture designs with In-depth knowledge of GTM, LTM and AppViewX.
• Knowledge on network management and monitoring platforms Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.
• F5 Certifications as a Technology Specialist or Solutions Expert are required.
• Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.
• Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.
• Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

• Network Automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of a large complex global F5 Load Balancing network infrastructure On-prem and Cloud.
• Extensive experience with Azure, AWS, & GCP native Load Balancing.
• Develops implementation strategies, plans, and processes for migration of applications/servers from data center to data center and cloud.
• Development of service and technology standards across the footprint with detail schematics for Server Load Balancing architecture for the enterprise.
• Review network and practices looking for opportunities to enhance network functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Partner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget.
• Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation.
• Develop and maintain standards and designs for load balancing network infrastructure.
• Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required.
• Work closely with senior management, and network engineering and operations teams.
• Enhances efficiency via automation when and wherever possible.
• Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
