About The Position

An LOA/Benefit Analyst is responsible for all aspects of leave plan and program operations; including but not limited to federal, state & local regulations, company and labor contract leave policies, short and long-term disability, return to work and reasonable accommodation programs, delivering exceptional customer service to our employees, managers, and HR partners. The LOA/Benefit Analyst will develop program reporting, analyze data, and identify opportunities to reduce compliance risk and financial burden of leave plans and programs. Provide technical consultation to HR Generalist on complex leave cases; mentors and oversees leave operations and ensures that all disability/leave cases and communications are administered in a compliant and consistent manner. The LOA/Benefit Analyst will be responsible for assisting with compliance and communications of the organization's health and welfare benefit program for non-contract and contract employees. Supports with administration and analysis of benefit plans and programs. The LOA/Benefit Analyst will mentor and train HR Generalist, Senior HR Generalist and organizational leaders on Children's absence management programs, health and welfare benefit program and processes, legal requirements and compliance risk.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mastery of disability, worker's compensation claims, ADA and absence case management.
  • Technical knowledge federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements (current and pending) affecting employee benefit programs including, but not limited to: ERISA, FMLA, ADA and Workers Compensation requirements, health and welfare plan, COBRA and Qualified Life Events.
  • Skilled in data reporting and analysis, identification of process/program improvements and implementation of recommendations.
  • Ability to work with high sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage complex and escalated issues with confidence and results. Able to adapt to changing and often ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with all levels of the organization. Encourage candor and openness to support creativity and an exchange of ideas.
  • Effective at disseminating information to other team members to successfully fulfill their duties and responsibilities.

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of disability and/or leave management experience
  • 2+ years of ADA management
  • PeopleSoft and/or Kronos experience preferred
  • 2 years of benefit administration experience
