About The Position

We are seeking a motivated intern to apply their classroom knowledge in drug delivery, biomaterials, and formulation to contribute to developing delivery systems for LETI’s in vivo gene editing therapeutics in our state-of-the-art LNP delivery laboratory. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from seasoned drug delivery experts, with a focus on non-viral delivery technology development. Here’s What You’ll Do: The successful candidate will learn the workflow of our LNP delivery lab and shadow experienced scientists Execute established protocols, under supervision, and work on LNP production and downstream processing Characterize RNAs encapsulated LNPs for their size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, integrity, and stability using conventional assays, e.g., dynamic light scattering (DLS), ribogreen assay, etc. Perform primary T-cell culture, transfection studies, and downstream flow cytometry analysis Adherence to good documentation practice Maintain data integrity and rigor Data entry into Benchling (electronic notebook) Generation of summary data with subsequent report Presentation at research meetings Attend Technology Development, cross-functional, and company meetings Why join Life Edit and the ElevateBio ecosystem? Requirements

  • Working towards a BSc, or BME degree in pharmaceutics, chemistry, bioengineering, or equivalent
  • Organized, independent, and collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and diligence

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with LNPs is preferred, but not required
