  • Lead all venue operations with authority and precision, ensuring flawless execution across FOH, BOH, security, ticketing, guest services, and facility maintenance for events ranging from intimate shows to 18,000+ capacity concerts.
  • Own the annual operational budget – forecast, control labor and overhead costs, manage payroll, and track variances to meet or exceed financial performance targets.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of full-time managers, supervisors, and 200+ seasonal event staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and inclusivity.
  • Oversee event-day operations with a command presence, directing ingress/egress, real-time incident resolution, emergency response coordination, and on-site vendor/sponsor activations.
  • Serve as the operational liaison with municipal agencies, including police, fire, rescue, traffic control, and health inspectors, ensuring all events are compliant, safe, and city-supported.
  • Safeguard operational integrity by maintaining surveillance systems, crowd control infrastructure, communication equipment, and venue assets in peak condition.
  • Champion guest experience excellence, ensuring accessibility needs are met, service recovery programs exceed expectations, and fan milestones are celebrated.
  • Enforce and elevate compliance with health, safety, liquor control, permitting, ADA requirements, and corporate standards.
  • Deliver accurate, timely reporting, including incident documentation, operational KPIs, and required governmental filings.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sponsorship, and production to ensure operational alignment with revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Act as a culture carrier, modeling the organization’s values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Proven leadership experience (minimum 5 years) in live entertainment, venue management, or large-scale event operations.
  • Proven track record managing budgets and teams of 100+ staff across multiple operational areas.
  • Expert knowledge of venue/facility operations, safety regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
  • Strong financial command: budget creation, cost control, labor optimization, and vendor negotiations.
  • Management skills: decisive under pressure with a demonstrated ability to protect staff, fans, and the business.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct engagement with executive leadership and government officials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, project management tools, and ticketing platforms.
  • Ability to work unconventional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and travel as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field.
  • Experience leading operations in premier venues with annual attendance of 200,000+ or comparable scale.
  • Established relationships with municipalities, public safety officials, and regulatory agencies.
  • Expertise in managing seasonal/part-time staffing models exceeding 200+ team members.
