About The Position

American Communications Solutions and By Light Professional IT Services, together as Full Spectrum Operations (FSO) are hiring dedicated and talented IT professionals under the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract. EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. Requirements

  • Must have 8-12 years experience
  • Experience with the use of equipment (to include specialized test equipment), materials, diagnostics, programming software, and any other items and services needed to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installation and removal of LMR systems, components and subscriber equipment.
  • Familiar with the use of DPAS to manage and account for LMR components using DPAS.
  • Ability to manage assigned land mobile radio (LMR) devices
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Motorola training and experience with Motorola APX series radios, (To include Portables, Mobiles, and Consolettes)
  • Motorola training on the KMF, Network Manager, and MCC7500
  • CompTIA Network+ or similar Network training or certification

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain an LMR System
  • Manage all personnel, equipment (to include specialized test equipment), materials, diagnostics, programming software, and any other items and services needed to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installation, and removal of LMR systems, components, and subscriber equipment.
  • Manage the primary and alternate Equipment Custodians as assigned and ensure accurate inventory of LMR components.
  • Manage and account for LMR components using (DPAS).
  • Manage assigned land mobile radio (LMR) devices IAW AFI 17-210, RADIO MANAGEMENT., Paragraph 4.
  • Perform LMR component maintenance, repair, and ensure LMRs are intrinsically safe.
  • Submit requirements for new or additional LMR components to the government via CIPS.
  • Identify and plan for required new and/or additional LMR components as needed.
  • Perform Facility Manager duties for LMR sites.
  • Conduct duties as call sign managers
  • Perform LMR component maintenance, repair, and ensure LMRs are intrinsically safe
  • Submit requirements for new or additional LMR components to the government via CIPS
  • Perform Facility Manager duties for LMR sites.
