About The Position

The LMFT position at Hillside Horizon for Teens involves providing mental health counseling and support to adolescents in a residential treatment facility. Requirements

• Active license including LCSW, LMFT, AMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or Physician.
• First Aid/CPR certified, current TB test.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse community.
• Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
• Three years' experience in primary mental health and dual diagnosis residential treatment facility or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adolescents (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and review records to determine the course of counseling treatment.
• Inform the Board of relevant political, financial, clinical, and liability issues and recommend changes in procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality of client files and information.
• Perform individual and group counseling sessions.
• Facilitate family group therapy sessions.
• Implement a quality improvement program.
• Complete annual performance reviews for supervised staff and establish professional development goals.
• Coordinate admissions and discharges of clients.
• Provide information and referrals to clients within community resources.
• Offer back-up clinical care when assigned staff is unavailable.
• Establish mental and physical condition of clients through interviews.
• Intervene in crisis and emergency situations as necessary.
• Coordinate plans and programs with other mental health professionals.
• Review incident reports and implement changes to prevent future incidents.
