About The Position

The Utility Sanitation person ensures that the facility and equipment are clean, organized and suitable for food production. 6pm to 6am, 2-2-3 schedule - D crew

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell

Responsibilities

• Empty trash cans, bins & barrels throughout the day.
• Clean and sanitize trash cans, bins & Barrels throughout the day.
• Hose & squeegee Sanitation room floor throughout the day.
• Sweep Main Corridor.
• Sweep Plant Entrance Hallway.
• Mop Corridor.
• Mop Plant Entrance Hallway 2x/day.
• Empty & refill footbath 2-3x/day.
• Verify proper sanitizer strength.
• Pick up debris/trash in Main Corridor.
• Run floor scrubber in Main Corridor.
• Empty & rinse floor scrubber.
• Mop edges of Main Corridor.
• Clean trash compactor dock (inside).
• Tidy Sanitation Room.
• Lock chemical storage area.
• Logout of Quaddex system.
• Sweep pest control chases.
• Perform pest control inspections.
• Other duties may be assigned
