Livehaul Mechanic Full Time - Hourly Day Shift hours 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, OT as necessary At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $27.00 - $38.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location. Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Maintain and repair Live Haul equipment.
  • Move equipment to farms and repair shop.
  • Do shop and equipment safety inspections.
  • Assist others in shop when needed.
  • Maintain and clean shop area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Have strong mechanical abilities.
  • Have good basic math skills.
  • Have above average reading and writing skills.
  • Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in a cold, wet, humid, hot and/or dusty environment.
  • Able to work with heights and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face.
  • Able to be on-call every other week.
  • Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
