About The Position

A warm and kind family based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with a property in the Hamptons, New York, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Live-In Executive Housekeeper/Manager to join their household on a full-time, live-in basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a seasoned professional who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully run home and thrives in a role that requires both independent initiative and a collaborative spirit. The family splits their time between their primary residence in Chevy Chase and their Hamptons property, and the selected candidate must be fully willing and able to travel with the family between both locations. This role requires someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing a residence to an executive standard, ensuring that every detail of the home is attended to at all times. Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday Days off: Monday and Tuesday Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week Peak hours: Morning hours through midafternoon are the highest-demand period of the day Travel: Required between Chevy Chase, MD and the Hamptons, NY Accommodation: Live-in accommodation provided

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Efficient with strong time management skills
  • Self-directed and proactive in identifying household needs
  • Discreet and respectful of privacy in a private household
  • Calm, positive, composed, and professional in demeanor
  • Able to take feedback well and adjust quickly when needed
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and travel with the family to their other properties
  • Someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of care within the home
  • Long term commitment strongly preferred
  • US work authorization
  • Experience in high-end homes and with fine furnishings and linens
  • Laundry and wardrobe experience is required for this role
  • Experience with service and comfortable interacting with both vendors and guests
  • Attention to detail and discretion required
  • Must have a clean and valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities

  • Full home cleaning and maintenance
  • Detailed care of kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and outdoor spaces
  • Laundry care including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization
  • Closet organization and general household organization projects
  • Restocking household supplies and groceries and managing inventory of essentials
  • Maintaining organization of common areas and storage spaces
  • Preparing the home before and after family travel
  • Light meal preparation
  • Running occasional errands
  • Packing and unpacking for travel
  • Handling all packages, dry cleaning, and vendors at the property
  • Supporting general household upkeep and presentation
  • Ensuring the home is guest ready when needed
  • Maintaining clear communication regarding household priorities and timing of tasks
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring high-impact areas are complete within each workday
