While you support clients one-on-one with activities of daily living, we'll support you with training, flexibility, and a team dedicated to creating a great employee experience. We are currently recruiting for an HHA to reliably serve patients on a per-visit basis in the following counties: UNION, ESSEX, MIDDLESEX, and MORRIS.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of work experience.
  • Have completed a recognized HHA training course and be certified to work as a LIVE-IN HHA.
  • A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
  • Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
  • Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.
  • Commitment to deliver patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, provide personal care, household support, and companion care services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
  • Provide household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Assist with range of motion/exercises.
  • Help with ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices).
  • Provide medication reminders.
