About The Position

The Live-In Caregiver position at SYNERGY HomeCare of South Sarasota involves providing compassionate, non-medical care to clients in their homes. Requirements

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Reliable transportation
• CNA license or HHA certificate with 40 hours of training
• Current Level-2 background check
• Pass random drug screening
• 3 years of meaningful work experience
• Must live in the Sarasota, FL area

Responsibilities

• Provide attention to clients' non-medical needs, including companionship and social engagement.
• Provide personal care to clients as needed.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, medication reminders, driving, and errands.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, mopping, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
• Transport and escort clients to events such as shopping, entertainment, religious services, and medical appointments.
• Ensure the residence is free of clutter and mobility hazards.
• Treat the client's home and property with respect.
• Prepare meals in accordance with dietary guidelines.
• Record and report observations of clients to the care agency.
• Establish communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic computer skills as needed, including Microsoft applications and ensuring wireless connection.
• Perform arithmetic and administrative tasks such as filing mail and scheduling appointments.
