About the position
The position involves unchaining and re-chaining cages from trucks to facilitate their movement to dumpers. The role requires visual checks to ensure all cages on the truck are secured. The employee will participate as a member of the team, contributing to the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. This includes coordinating work to ensure best practices among team members and attending relevant team meetings. The employee is expected to foster strong cohesiveness within the team regarding major issues such as direction, annual plans, budgets, and policy changes. They must also identify areas lacking cohesiveness and work with the team leader to resolve these issues. Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, and company policies, is essential. The position is not limited to the described responsibilities and may include other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Unchain cages from trucks for movement to dumpers.
- Re-chain empty cages on trucks.
- Visually check to ensure all cages on the truck are secured.
- Participate as a member of the team in ongoing development and implementation of team concepts.
- Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members.
- Attend appropriate team meetings.
- Identify areas lacking cohesiveness and work with the team leader to resolve issues.
- Maintain familiarity with Simmons' operating systems and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Requirements
