About The Position

DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a Live English Transcriptionist / Stenographer to join our team on the West Coast! In this role you will accurately transcribe live virtual meetings, ensuring every word and gesture is captured in real-time. The focus is to provide an exact written record of the meetings as they happen.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience transcribing live, real-time events.
• Comprehensive understanding of the conventions followed during transcription.
• Completed courses in typing / stenography.
• Shorthand typing speed.
• Stable internet connection and comfortable working with Google Chromebook (Note: equipment will be provided).
• Excellent active listening skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• NCRA certification is a plus.
• Experience with steno machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe all spoken information during calls without relying on recordings or Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) support.
• Ensure all spoken information and gestures are correctly captured during the virtual meeting.
• Final transcription for the virtual meetings must be delivered within 24 hours after participating in the meeting.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
