About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to join our team as Temporary Live Chat Agents. This role involves handling customer and sales inquiries via our Live Assistance Station, an initiative aimed at evaluating its effectiveness as a customer communication channel and generating commercial sales leads. The dedicated shift for this role is 9:00AM–6:00PM, Monday through Friday, working fully onsite. Occasional flexibility to cover 11:00AM–8:00AM may be required based on business needs; this is expected to occur only a few times per year. Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a remote or live chat environment.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with basic computer operations and familiarity with live chat software.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer and sales inquiries exclusively via Live Chat.
  • Operate within the Live Chat application for an 8 hour shift.
  • Utilize our proprietary web applications to gather necessary information.
  • Forward all actionable items to Districts via ACE and email.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and efficient communication.
